Service at St Luke’s Anglican Church on Sunday, June 18
St Luke’s Anglican Church at Palhagueira, part of the St Vincent’s Chaplaincy, Algarve, has announced that The Rt Revd David Hamid, Suffragan Bishop in Europe, will be visiting the Chaplaincy this weekend.
He will be presiding at the Eucharist at St Luke’s on Sunday, June 18, beginning at 10.30am. The service will include the Baptism of Sila and her daughter Saga, and the Confirmation of Sila.
Revd Ron Curtis, Locum Chaplain, says: “We were delighted that Sila and her family came to our church at the end of last year. The family have come from Turkey and are enjoying the opportunities that Portugal has to offer them. They have become an important part of our congregation over these last few months, and we have been thrilled to be alongside them on their faith journey.”
