The “Guia Natal” programme is back, promising to sweeten and liven up the Christmas season in the parish of Guia. The initiative includes a Christmas Market, an extra-long Street Nativity Scene, and lots of entertainment, especially for children, as well as exclusive gifts and Christmas delicacies.
From November 25 until January 7, the “Street Nativity Scene” returns. With its approximately 30 figurines, this Nativity Scene created by renowned sculptor Toin Adams, once again, stretches for more than 300 meters between the Main Church and the Hermitage of Nossa Senhora da Guia, revealing several nativity scenes.
This weekend of November 25 and 26, the centre of town comes to life with the Christmas Market, offering a wide range of experiences for the whole family. From Christmas lights and decorations to entertainment, crafts, food stalls selling seasonal delicacies, inflatables, carousels, Santa’s grotto and a Christmas train, the event provides an excellent opportunity for young and old to get together.
The Christmas Market, featuring over 50 exhibitors, is ideal for buying personalised and unique gifts and tasting seasonal specialities and sweet treats sold by local parish associations.
Entry to the event is free, as is all the entertainment available.
