Serving truly authentic Italian food, Cin-Cin Italia restaurant in Almancil is opening its doors to the public this Friday, December 15.
With years of experience in the restaurant business, brothers Luigi and Fabio Bucciero have decided to embark on their own venture – to open a restaurant paying tribute to their roots, in their beloved Algarve, serving authentic Italian cuisine as well as other Mediterranean and European dishes.
Having worked in the family’s restaurants since 1989, the brothers felt it was time to break away from their parents’ legacy and begin their own.
Luigi, who is the chef at Cin-Cin Italia, said: “I worked at the family’s restaurant (in a small town called St. Ives, near Cambridgeshire, UK) for five years but then left to broaden my horizons and learn new culinary skills in different types of establishments. I worked alongside some amazing chefs and honed my skills and eventually returned to work in the family business when they moved to Portugal.”
Fabio has been involved in the running and progression of the second restaurant, which the family opened in 1996, where he developed into a great manager under his parents’ guidance.
“My family then decided to move to the Algarve, where they visited annually, because they fell in love with Portugal,” said Luigi.
An opportunity then arose for the family to open a new restaurant, Ristorante La Piazza, in Santa Bárbara de Nexe. So, they decided to take a chance and start a new chapter in their life.
Fabio also decided to join them and commit to their father’s vision. Ristorante La Piazza has proved to be a popular and highly successful business for over 21 years.
“Fabio (front of house) and I are now using all our experience to open our own restaurant,” said Luigi.
Located at Estrada Vale Formoso 2, 8100-267 Loulé, Cin-Cin Italia is open daily from 6.30pm to 10pm. Closed Sundays. It is also open for Christmas Day lunch and New Year’s Eve from 6.30pm till late.
The restaurant can cater to special dietary needs (gluten-free options available) and is vegetarian- and vegan-friendly.
“So, Cin-Cin and see you very soon!” said the brothers.
