Golf Clubs in Algarve

Algarve, one of the best golf destinations. Wherever you look, the colours of the mountains and sea are always with you, creating the impression of a water-colour dotted with highlights of gold, green and blue. One of the finest golf destinations in Europe, the Algarve is regarded today as an elite venue by top professionals.

The Algarve has been a magnet to many discerning golfers for almost three decades. Portugal’s southernmost province is proudly famous for its spectacular landscapes and a fabulous coastline. 

During the 70’s, the 80`s and on into the first half of the 90’s, golf courses appeared all along Portugal’s south coast as it became increasingly attractive to holidaymakers from northern Europe. 

There are currently more than twenty golf courses in the space of 100 miles of coastline and more are being made. All this courses are within one and a half hours’ drive of Faro Airport. 

The plans for the golf courses, mostly designed by internationally recognised golf course architects, together with the superb landscapes in which they are located, satisfy the requirements of the most demanding enthusiasts, marking out the region as first-rate destination for golf and golf holidays. 

The favourable climate with more than 300 days of sun per year, allows the golf season to be extended over several months, bringing players from all over the world to the Algarve.
