The various defendants arrested last week in a probe into suspicions of corruption at the highest levels at telecoms company Altice Portugal will be spending another weekend behind bars, as questioning has had to be halted until Monday. The only defendant left to answer initial questions is Hernâni Vaz Antunes. But until he is heard, the other defendants – including the co-founder of the Altice Group Armando Pereira – remain in preventive custody. Bail measures are expected to be announced early next week.
