Estrella Damm Tapas Route returns to Algarvian capital
Faro is one of the towns taking part in the 16th edition of the Estrella Damm Tapas Route, which is all about combining mouthwatering tapas (small dishes) with a glass of Estrella Damm beer.
Between Thursday, October 4 and Thursday, October 26, around 150 eateries across Portugal will be presenting their own tapa accompanied by a beer for €5.
In Faro, the participating establishments are: Afecto Restaurante, Petiscaria Decanter, Vila Adentro, Ostraria Lodo, Restaurante Travessa, Bottle Wine and Food, Checkin Faro by Leonel Pereira, Restaurante Monky, Petisqueira 3 em pipa, Faro Story Spot, Tertúlia Algarvia, Restaurante Cinderela Farense, Sushi Ya Fusion, Taska Algarvia, and Adão – Pokés & Steakhouse.
Apart from the Algavian town, the event will visit some new towns this year, such as Leiria, and new restaurants outside the city centre of Lisbon, including new neighbourhoods like Alvalade and Parque das Nações, “so that everyone can enjoy the best combination of tapas and moments of togetherness with friends and family,” organisers say.
This initiative, which began in Lisbon in 2013, has grown over the years and is now a nationwide event, with an increasing number of towns and restaurants participating in each edition.
