From June 10 to September 2, the programme will feature intimate music sessions encompassing jazz, fado, classical rhythms, Latin melodies, samba, bossa nova, blues, and world music. There will also be two tribute concerts honouring Aretha Franklin and ABBA.
Starting this month, Vale do Lobo will host a series of intimate music sessions at the Tennis Academy, held every fortnight on Saturdays at 8pm.
“These sessions will feature top-quality artists and musical groups, providing captivating performances for all ages as the sun sets. Kicking off the summer intimate concerts programme on Saturday, June 10 is the Sunset Samba by Sambambas – Roda de Samba, which promises to offer an evening of “pure rhythm and musicality, engaging everyone present in a unique sunset setting.”
This will be followed on June 24 by “Strings in Harmony,” featuring the talented TerraSul duo and “creating a melodious symbiosis of string harmony that pushes the boundaries of style and form.”
On July 8, renowned fado singer Carla Pires, accompanied by André M. Santos and João Vaz, will perform her most emblematic songs in the “Echoes of Fado When the Sun Goes Down” concert.
Next on the agenda is the highly anticipated Aretha Franklin Tribute open-air concert which will take place on July 22, featuring Yolanda Sikara and her Think band.
In August, the intimate and open-air concerts will continue with the “Jazz Evening with a Latin Flavour” by João Frade trio on August 5. João Frade, Michael Olivera, and Yarel Hernandez will “deliver a memorable jazz performance filled with talent and musicality”.
The “World Music Fusion Under the Stars” by Plasticine will close the intimate music sessions on August 19, offering an “infectious and unforgettable show of rhythm and sound.”
