International Algarve Fair, the event you can’t miss!

Algarve Fair

The International Algarve Fair, organised by The Portugal News and supported by the Lagoa Municipal Council, is the largest annual event in Portugal for the expatriate community.

Algarve Fair

The International Algarve Fair is a unique opportunity to meet face to face with some of the leading companies serving our community.

This is where you will find new products and services coming onto the market (last year one exhibitor had a robot lawn mower, but don’t tell your gardener!), or if you are brave enough to give away your lawn mower you can find the latest artificial lawns. Think of the time you will save if you don’t have to mow the lawn.

A selection of the leading real estate agents would be happy to talk to you about selling your property or buying a new one, it’s a great opportunity to find a company you feel understands your requirements. Perhaps you want to get your satellite or internet based TV channel in every room, and be able to use the remote control anywhere – there will be specialist at the fair who can help you achieve that.

How about if you are looking for a new website, yes, we have a website designer exhibiting (the same company who designed The Portugal News new website) or maybe your laptop is giving you problems, our own columnist Kurt Pardon will be there to talk to you.

Of course you might feel it’s time to get a spa or if you are really brave you could find out about Sky Diving (we dare you), or if Brexit worries you the British Consul have a stand and so does one of the leading bureaucratic problem solvers who can sort out any documentation you need and get it done much faster than you could do it yourself. The list goes on, from timber cabins to insurance and investment advisers, there really is something for everyone at the fair.

There are in excess of 120 stands for you to browse around. When you need a break (or a cold beer) head for the restaurant and entertainment area. You will find craft beers, street food, Indian food, fish and chips, local dishes, Brazilian specialities and much more.

While you enjoy the food and cold drinks, watch some great entertainment on the main stage.

If you are a dog lover, the 10th Algarve Dog Show will have opportunities to watch or even enter your pet in one of the classes.

Now in its 14th year, The International Algarve Fair is attended by thousands of guests in the spacious surroundings of the FATACIL Showground in Lagoa. It’s the one event you must not miss, its unique, it’s fun for every age group, and it’s a great opportunity to meet the leading companies and service providers, not to mention the food and entertainment.

Saturday and Sunday, 8 and 9 June. Gates open at 10am (one hour earlier than in the past) and goes on until early evening.
